Puttaparthi, Andhrapradesh

Puttaparthi  is a town in Anantapur district of Andhhrapradesh and is located on the banks of Chitravathi river and is surrounded by undulating hills. When I was small I had always wished for visiting  this place and take blessing from Sai Baba. It was quite amazing when we reached over there. Rather than a nostalgic trend, I'd say this place was providing us an escape from the stresses and strains and fulfilling our need to find downtime.
It was such a beautiful and clean place with everyone greeting you a "sai ram" even if they had to say hello. We visited few of  the temples in anantapur, and also the main ashram in Puttaparthi which is known as Prasathi Nilayam. I learnt that Prasanthi Nilayam meant "the abode of highest peace".

when we entered inside Prasanthi Nilayam , it was such a huge place consisting of splendid temples, public relations desk, post office, canteen, bakery, kitchens, dining halls, guest houses, dormitories etc. It also houses a huge 'Darshan Hall', a place where Sri Sai Baba gave darshan to his devotees.we sat there for a while for bhajan and we took blessing from the samadhi.

Chaitanya Jyoti museum
Chaitanya Jyoti Museum is an architectural museum which show and displays the Life and Mission of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The entire lifetime of saibaba is displayed with multimedia presentations and it was quite fascinating , we went  through the story of Bhagawan’s birth and childhood, the prophecies connected with his Advent, and major milestones in the grand Mission of the Avatar.

while returning back from the museum we visited few of the jewellery outlets and bought gratitude stone, jhumkas and stuffs.
I was lured when i saw the stones , statues and jhumkas.\, shopping was quite rewarding and tempting  from antiques to handicraft everything was just so beautiful there. However  I would love to visit Anantapur again if I ever got a chance.
